King of Prussia Newborn Session

Introducing Logan Nuskey! Parents Jessica and Stephen Nuskey welcomed this sweet baby girl on November 18, 2018. She was such a joy to photograph! Newborn photography sessions can go a little long if baby is a little fussy or super hungry, but this little sweetheart was all snuggles and willing to let me pose her, so her session was a breeze. She really is a true beauty just like her mama and full of smiles. I always love to capture baby’s smiling, I feel like they know I’m taking their picture 😉

In Studio Sessions

Many clients ask me the benefits of in studio photography sessions, and there are many. As newborn photographers, we have many tricks that we use to keep those little cuties so happy and peaceful. Our studios are set to create an environment that promotes sleep and soothes baby. We keep the temperature warm to keep baby happy. Many clients are amazed at how well their babies will sleep for a session, but a lot of that has to do with the environment we create for them. Now of course there are times when some babies need a little extra feeding or snuggling, but studio sessions can be the best to promote that extra sleepy, cuddly baby. Another bonus is ALL of the props, backdrops, outfits and headbands are available for the session, and best of all, you won’t have to clean your home for a photo session 😉

Getting Daddy Involved in the Session

One of my favorite parts of a newborn session is getting Daddy involved. Stephen was such a good dad, I could already tell. It just melts my heart to see a big guy snuggling his little girl (or guy) in a session. Even the toughest of guys can turn into teddy bears with their little one in their arms. I always love to capture that connection. The mommas always love these ones as well!

Be Sure to Book Your Session Early

One of the biggest mistakes I see parents make is waiting until AFTER their baby is born to book their newborn session. To make sure you get in with the photographer of your choice, be sure to start looking once you hit your second trimester. Get in contact with your photographer to ensure they have availability for your session. We always feel awful when we have to turn clients away! We don’t want you to miss out on documenting this precious time with your little one. They will only be this tiny for a very short period so you want to make sure that you book that session early! Also, you want to be able to get as many items checked off your list BEFORE the baby comes so that all you really have to worry about is snuggling that little cutie once she/he arrives – Thanks for reading and I’ll be posting again soon!

XOXO Rachel
