Hey Guys! Its been a while since I have been able to post, life has been crazy busy! Summertime is about to start and its going to get REAL busy, ha! Ok, so this family is dear to my heart. I met Mary many years ago when we were both single and figuring life out. So, to see how this amazing twenty-something has grown into an amazing mother of two has been such a beautiful thing to witness. I was contacted by Mary to photograph her daughter a few months ago and I did a little happy dance. When my fiends ask me to document their most precious moments in life, I feel so overwhelmed with gratitude and joy. We decided on a lifestyle session since she wanted to incorporate her home and the beautiful new nursery they had put together for Emma. We got big brother Daniel and proud Daddy, Troy, along with a little craziness from Scout the dog, gathered together to make some magic happen.
So when discussing her session, Mary asked if her dog Scout could be in the pictures. I always respond with “Of course!” I love animals, especially this goofball, Scout. We got one of my favorite images ever, and I was beyond ecstatic when the family decided to do a large wood block of this image for their wall! Its amazing! Check it out:
Look at that face!! What a pup! I love to incorporate ALL of the family members into the portraits, even the fluffy ones.
It can be a big decision on which style of photography suits you most, but just think about what kind of backgrounds you want for your images. What is the feel you are going for? Do you want a bit more formal and posed style, or maybe you just don’t want to have to worry about cleaning up your home? A studio session would be better suited for you. If you are looking for a more relaxed “day-in-the-life” type of session, and you really don’t want to have to drag the whole family out of the house for a session, then Lifestyle is your best option. Whatever style you want to go with, pick a photographer that you love what they do and completely trust their judgement.
