First birthdays are always a big milestone! As a parent it can bring on so many different emotions. This wonderful family was all smiles – especially our birthday boy.
Birthday cake smash sessions have become quite popular. Considering how messy and absolutely adorable they are I really can’t deny they are a great way to document an important developmental stage.
Diving right in, it is obvious Dilly Jack had no issues with this celebration either. Laughing all the way as he pokes around his cake, I focused on capturing his smile as the messy fun continued. His silly personality really shines through these photos, and let me tell you, laughter is definitely contagious.
After a clean up and another great photo opportunity I spent time with the whole family. Moods were light and smiles were on. It was so fun watching them laugh together from behind the lens as they made a big deal over their special little guy.
I gathered our last shots for the day as the sun went down and light danced with the trees. I have no doubt in my mind it was a restful night for this family.
